The TaoTronics Soundliberty 79 True Wireless Earbuds are your typical truly wireless earbuds. There’s nothing special about them, no standout features. They stand for a market of truly wireless, waterproof earbuds with compact cases. The Raycon e25s would also fall into this category, as well as several others. We, at Nerds in HD chose the Soundliberty 79s because they were your typical earbud - and this is why

. First of all, they sound good. Not great, not bad, just good. They’re a bit light on the bass, but most people will enjoy them. If you are an audiophile, then you should probably go for something more like the sennhaiser momentum 2 true wireless. The Soundlibertys are your everyday earbud, and should be reviewed as such.

The fit is again, okay. They have rarely fallen out of my ears thanks to the 4 different ear tip and wing tip options, but there were some people that complained on Amazon about them hurting and/or falling out of their ears. But for the majority of people, these should be fine due to their level of customization.

The case, however is the standout of these earbuds. With such a small size, they managed to pack in a whopping 30 hours, as well as an additional 8 hours in the earbuds themselves. I believe this is the sweet spot between size and battery, and would like to see this philosophy adopted by more manufacturers.

Other benefits of these earbuds include USB-C charging, something that Apple decided to forgo with their AirPods lineup, as well as IPX8 water resistance, making these EXTREMELY resistant to water. It’s these small quirks that make these in a way, better than AirPods, yet still lacking the ecosystem integration and the “spatial audio.” At the end of the day, if you want earbuds that just work, whether you want to go to the gym or just casually listen at home or on the go, the TaoTronics Soundliberty 79 True Wireless earbuds will have you covered, and will not disappoint or frustrate. Because most people aren’t audiophiles - they just want something that works for cheap.
